Where Chicago’s Production Community Connects

What is Filmscape?

Filmscape Chicago brings together filmmakers, artists, technicians, and students from across Chicago and the greater Midwest for two days of networking, education, and training - all completely for free.

We started in 2019 as a nonprofit organization focused on education for the Midwest’s film and television community. Each year, we put on a two-day event bringing industry leading manufacturers to exhibit their newest product on our trade show floor. Additionally, these two days feature dozens of classes, ranging in focus and department, and from intro level to highly advanced. Every part of the show is completely free of charge for all attendees.

2022 was our first year in our new home of CineCity Studios, in their beautiful event space. 2023 promises more of the same, and we’re excited to share it with you! Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media so you get news as it comes out!

The Show Floor

Filmscape brings the best of the best in equipment manufacturers and local production resource companies to give our audience the opportunity to get hands on with the newest gear, as well as face to face time with the folks making, providing, and servicing that gear for the Chicago market.

The Classes

Classes range across all departments, creative and technical, and are taught by industry experts. Filmscape classes help students acquire real world knowledge and skills that they can put into practice immediately - from the latest and greatest in new technologies to practical and technique-based instruction.

CineCity Studios

CineCity Studios is Chicago’s newest film and tv studio space which boasts 140,000 sq. feet of film production office space. CineCity Studios, Chicago, was home to Disney’s biggest show of 2021, “The Big Leap” on FOX, as well as permanent tenants such as Production Resource Group (PRG), the world’s leading provider of services and solutions in entertainment and events.
