In 2023, Tim Harrison, lead designer/fabricator, worked with WaM program head, Erin Kennedy Lunsford, to help create a first of its kind, industry focused, multimedium fabrication and design course. The course teaches various design techniques, both traditional and cutting edge, to produce practical props and special effects and prepare students for the film/TV/theater industry workflow. The first course, Monster Making, was introduced into the WaM program winter semester 2024, with additional courses in development to continue to arm graduates with the practical skills and experience to jump into the workforce.
